Paul wasn’t going to fight the pope.
That was his job.
But, that didn’t mean he was out of the loop.
The apostles of Christ were in the thick of the world’s events, as they were in Paul’s day.
They weren’t at the mercy of the pope, and they weren’t going down with the tide.
But Paul did take on a pope he believed to be the Antichrist.
That would have been a real tough pill to swallow, especially when his own church, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was at the center of the most tumultuous times in history.
But there was a way to navigate the waters.
That’s what I wanted to do.
I was going to be there to help.
When I got there, I found the church was still in a state of flux, and there was no one there who could offer a safe haven for the wounded church.
So I thought it was time to go to church.
I went to church with my brother.
And I saw, he’s really a nice guy.
And then I thought, well, maybe I should go with him.
But I knew there was more going on in that church than just my brother and me.

And that was the moment that it all happened.
I was going with him, but I had the power of prayer.
When the bishop was speaking, I could see the light of his eyes shining on me.
And the more I looked at him, the more the power came over me.
And he said to me, “Look, Paul, I’m here to make sure that you’re OK.
I’m not going to let you go.
And if you have any questions about what you’re doing, I want to hear them.
I need you to be ready for whatever you might be facing.”
Paul didn’t need me to be prepared.
And that’s what made me so important to him.
He trusted me, and he knew that if he had a crisis, I was his man.
And when he needed me, he needed to have the power to call me.
I knew then, and I still know, that when Paul said, “We need to go in and help you,” he was saying it in a very specific way.
But what he didn’t say was that the way we did that was to take up arms against the church leaders.
Paul said that, first of all, we were going to need to be able to defend ourselves, because the church had a very powerful enemy. Paul wasn
