The living Christ, Buddy Christ, and a few other Christian groups have put out a call for people to share their chart of life with their loved ones.
“You’re not dead,” the group says.
“There’s no real ‘end’ to life.
Just a lot of fun, and no end to pain.
You can just keep living and love.”
The list goes on and on, with the group listing topics ranging from eating disorders to sexual abuse to grief.
The call comes as many people in the Christian faith are struggling with depression and other mental illnesses.
Some are saying they don’t want to share any more of their pain with others.
The group’s creator, Jen Boudreau, says the idea behind the chart is to get people talking about what it means to be alive.
“When we do that, we actually have a chance to move forward and to not just be sad and angry, but to actually have hope,” Boudaures said.
“And we don’t just need to cry and feel sad and afraid, we need to be hopeful.”
The chart is an online video series produced by the Living Jesus Ministry, which focuses on the positive aspects of living out life in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
“We have to be brave to do this.
We need to feel free to be who we are and to love and be with who we love, to be the one we love and to be in the community with who love,” Boutreau said.
She said she hopes people will share their experiences with their friends and family and hope others can learn from them.
It’s unclear how many people have joined the group, but Boudares said it has about 300 people following the hashtag on social media.
